About Yufei Yang  杨雨霏       新泽西州注册针灸师

I am a NJ Licensed Acupuncturist with a Master’s Degree of Science in Acupuncture.

I was born and raised in Shenyang, China. At age of 16, I immigrated to the United States of America. My passion and interest in Chinese medicine began in early childhood when I used to live across the street from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Liaoning Hospital of TCM. I encountered many people receive health benefits from acupuncture and I was amazed by the incredible results. I grew up around Traditional Chinese Medicine and I was inspired by my grandmother, who was a very well known Chinese herbologist. She taught me different theories of Chinese medicine. When I had fever, my grandmother would  prescribe me raw Chinese herbs to drink and cover me with layers of blankets.

In August 2013, my father had a serious stroke. The stroke left the right side of his body paralyzed and he had difficulty speaking.  Following his discharge from the hospital, he started receiving scalp acupuncture treatment at the Liaoning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. After three months of consecutive treatments, he slowly recovered.  Acupuncture has helped him not just recover his motor function but also reduced his anxiety. He was able to raise his arm and walk. After seeing my father recover each day with the help of this ancient Chinese medical treatment, I decided to study this brand of medicine so one day I could help many other people recover from their illnesses.

During my studies at Eastern School of Acupuncture, I gained experiences treating many patients with various conditions. I completed two and half years internship. I have experience treating patients in a pain management clinic. I am very fortunate to have found good mentors who have taught me this branch of medicine. I not only specialize in Traditional Chinese Medicine but am also trained in Kiiko Matsumoto Style Japanese Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture and Five Element Acupuncture. I have completed several externships at Liaoning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China for continuing education. I also pursued advanced training in trigger point acupuncture and scalp acupuncture.

My treatment approach is to integrate different styles of acupuncture and help people balance their body. I love to help my clients to feel good physically and emotionally. I will spend enough time with them to understand their issues and needs.

I specialize in treating chronic pain, muscle aches, post stroke-related problems using scalp acupuncture, stress/anxiety, fertility issues, insomnia, asthma, headache, migraine, Trigeminal neuralgia (TMJ), Facial palsy , Osteoarthritis, and autoimmune disorders etc.
